Power pop with a punch

"If you like power pop ala the Raspberries, Badfinger or the Shoes, you will love this album. It fairly new, recorded in 1995, but retains the feel and sound of the mid-70's. Not disco, but punchy guitars and catchy melodies. Lyrically, the group has matured with time. There are some love songs and break-up songs, but mostly the album deals with change and getting through and coming out the other side for the better. It's not a masterpiece, but it is really listenable and upbeat, something that you don't find too much anymore."
