"This is the CD re-release of the 80's LP, The Great Raider Reunion. These tracks were re-recorded by Mark in the early 80's. Though Mark is on the vocals no more original Raiders are on this CD. Funny enough, the original LP cover features the Raiders Paul has been touring with for the last 25 years. The CD cover features the more classic lineup which is very deceiving. overall it's not a terrible CD and the music is OK, but when the original tracks are so easy to get, why bother. One good indicator of the value of this disk, is it's one of the few Mark does not sell at his site (marklindsay.com)"
PAUL REVERE & THE RE-RECORDED'S

"These songs are for sure re-recordings. I bought this cd just to hear the dance mixes of "Just Like Me" and "Kicks". I thought I would take a chance. Boy was I duped. I don't know who in the world thought these verison's were good. Both of them "[stink]". They sound like "Paul Revere & the Raiders meet Disco Duck". Paul Revere and Mark Lindsay should be ashamed of themselves. What in the world were they thinking. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of the band.As for the rest of the cd, it's pretty good. All the songs are re-recordings but almost all of them are real good. The one song that is bad is "Arizona", a solo hit for Mark Linday. It sounds like he is singing "Hairazona",it is pretty bad.The rest of the songs, Just Like Me, Kicks, Hungry, Good Thing, Him or Me, I Had A Dream, Let Me, Too Much Talk and Indian Reservation are very good. You can tell they are not original, some of them you can't tell, but they have a good sound to them. Mark Lindsay's voice is as good as ever and the music is good.If you have the original recordings and just want to hear what the band sounds like after 35 years, then you need to buy this cd. But do youself a big favor, eject the disc before you reach tracks 11 and 12. If you don't, then you will be sorry. You'll get to hear "Disco Paul & The Raiders"."

"Maybe I'm wrong but, judging from the clips, these don't sound like the original recordings. What gives? Would it say on the CD if there are re-recorded versions. Listen to the clips for the CD entitled "remastered" Best of Paul Revere and the Raiders. They sound like the original."

"I have been a Paul Revere & the Rainders fan for over the past 30 years. This CD deserves a negative Stars rating. This CD claims to have been made or re-mastered from or by the original artists. I had to look at the CD cover twice just to confirm in my owm mind that I had ordered and received the correct CD. This sounds like no Paul Revere and the Raiders music I have ever heard before. The words are similar (but several are changed), the tune is similar but the music sure does not sound the same. I wish I could get my money back."

"
I was (am) not a big fan of Paul revere and the Raiders, but I kept hearing "Just Like Me"on the classic rock station on Maui and thought, "Hmm... that's a tasty little solo in the middle there. Maybe I was too harsh on them back in the Summer of Love." Frankly, I'm not really sure this is the CD I ordered, but this is the one I've got and it really blows! It sounds like it was recorded (or re- recorded )from a tape of a record of an 8 track tape. Exclusive Dance Mix? Putrid!Door stop material."
