An excellent CD for listening, dancing, and training.
Yes, training - for competitive ballroom dancing. (For serious dancers to whom it matters, information is given on the number of measures per minute for each track).
Ballroom Dancing now is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as a legitimate sport, DanceSport, and may some day be added to Olympic competition.
You don't have to be a dancer to enjoy the music on this CD (I'm living proof of that). In fact, if I hadn't told you and you didn't read it in the booklet insert you might not even notice consciously that it's perfect for dancing - until you found your body swaying or your feet moving to the music.
Anyway, if you like Latino music, this is a good CD for you.
P.S. I just noticed that the database track listing doesn't indicate the types of dance rhythms on the selections, so I will here:
Tracks 1-3 Samba
4-6 Merengue
7-11 Paso Doble (a two step)
12-14 Bossa Nova
