Another chart-topper for Seal

"Seal just continues to surprise us - putting out one great dance anthem after another these days.
"Killer" was originally written as a message song about finding love in a dark time, but now it could be interpreted in many different ways. This song first topped the worldwide charts in 1991 - back when the UK was churning out tons of amazing 'house' music (like Black Box, Soul II Soul, Lisa Stansfield, etc). "Killer" was brought back this year in a special set of remixes which topped the Billboard Dance/Club chart in March '05 - Seal's fourth #1 dance hit in a row! Proof that great beats and a great voice make an irresistable combination.
All of the remixes of "Killer" are really good and retain the quality and style of the original recording. I was especially impressed with the mixes by Morel and DJ Monk as they took the song in a different direction - Morel into more of a light, disco-ey feel and DJ Monk's mix sounded like something from an underground club with an early '80s synthesizer. Totally crazy! But the Peter Rauhofer remixes of this song are truly epic - some of the best work this world class remixer/producer has ever done. His Part 2 mix is my favorite, more of a "big room" mix, and the beats at the end sound almost like a real human heartbeat.
Unfortunately, the two new remixes for "Crazy" at the end of the single are rather disappointing - neither adding much to the original version of this song. Here I was hoping for much better.
Doesn't matter though - this single is well worth the purchase for the "Killer" remixes.

"This song recently spent 2 weeks at number one on the Billboard club play chart . One listen to the mixes and you can hear why. They bring the original mix to the new century. And as a bonus you get 2 great new mixes for "Crazy" as well. God bless Warner Brothers for keep putting out cd singles.
1- Killer ( Peter Rauhofer Remix Pt. 1) 7:41
2- Killer ( Peter Rauhofer Remix Pt. 2) 9:10-- both mixes are the main reason it went number one on the dance charts. The Pt. 2 remix being the more aggressive mix of the two.
3- Killer (Morel's Pink Noise Vocal Mix) 8:19
4- Killer (Dj Monk's Remix) 8:18--- begins almost as an acoustic remix them deepens up the house vibe then goes into an almost hip hop style house mix. Excellent mix.
5- Killer (Jim Albert's Loneliness Is A Killer Mix )7:59--- vocal dub mix.
6- Crazy (Ananda Project Vocal Mix) 6:55-- retro sounding live instruments kind of mix.
7- Crazy (Orange Factory Mix)5:55-- excellent mix.
Another number one dance single for Seal--- 4 in a row. A++++"

This Cd Maxi is SO WELL WORTH IT
I would be sure that the one you get has all the above mixes, if not at least part's one and two via Pete Rauhofer, is so deep and never really strays from the original hook, line and sinker. It really just makes you happy, Seal along with the world known Pete Rauhofer, makes such a great team. Pete has changed his sound a bit as well, he has added twists into this classic tune, not only to extend it, but to re-vamp it to today's standards of great dance music, Pete has the ability to turn anything into a great dance tune, (just look to "American Life CD Single/via Madonna), and she by far is not "just anybody" she is a woman with a constant strain of thought, a very smart woman, and mother, and carefully thinks things through.
