A different project for Sandi
07/15/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)
"By the early 90's, Sandi's projects were becoming predictable. They were wonderful, but the song selection was becoming routine: you knew where an upbeat song was and that the power ballad would be the third track in. Dealing with personal problems, Sandi embarked on her most challenging and rewarding CD to date. This is not just 10 songs, but it tells a story. This is pilgrim's progess set to music. After the Prolouge, Sandi invites the listener to join Companion and go through the "Little Narrow Gate." Travel with Companion through the "Forest of Fears," to the "Tenderlands" and beyond, always traveling until they reach the Homplace. For the most part, this is a more acoustic album than people are use to hearing from Sandi. It is filled with wonderful songs like "Hand on My Shoulder" and "No Place To Lay My Head," all the while, taking you on this wonderful journey. What a challenge this CD is for the listener who dares to find themselves on their own journey!"
1993 Pilgrim's Progress Album

""Le Voyage" is unlike any other Sandi Patty album and it is one of her best. This pilgrim's journey through a connected series of challenging tunes (all by Greg Nelson and Bob Farrell) is a gentle, yet unsettling, musical path through the dangers, fears and confusion of spiritual progress. Sandi is actually the narrator in the sung role of "Traveler". There is also a companion book published by Word, a "Making of Le Voyage" video and a ballet video. Falling Forward"
I have taken LeVoyage

"Never have I listened to a CD that actually took me on a trip. I bought this album when I was going through one of the worst times in my life. I really didn't know what to expect, but as I listened to the record, and read the lyrics in my tiny bedroom, the music took me to a far away place. The title couldn't be more acurate. I feel as though this cd is a must for any Sandi collection. Different than any of her other albums, old or new. I only hope it can take you the places it has taken me. By the way, am I the only one who noticed how much track 7 (the dilemma) sounds like the theme from Beverly Hills 90210?"

"If you need encouragement, turn to the sounds of Sandi Patti. She sings her praises to the lord and you can feel the spirit listen. Sandi Patti is a great contempary christian artist."
