CD ReviewsAn interesting acquisition Guntram | PR,Brazil | 03/12/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "In my opinion, American singers like Ragin,Daniels and Minter always demonstrate more originality and artistic impetus than ancient countertenor traditions followers.In this CD with ARTEK,Mr.Minter endorses my impressions though the hurtful record characteristics.Sometimes he pushes on treble notes but the repertoire is a real "tour-de-force" and Minter and ARTEK have a lot of musical puzzles to master. I am not an admirer of ARTEK's sonority because it is excessive dry and Minter doesn,t have a big voice.However he is the star here.The most beautiful "Pianto della Madonna" by Monteverdi is on this disc.Yet,Minter display all his audacity in "Odi quel rosignuolo" and artistic intelligence in "Ribombava d'intorno",this a very beaultiful and exquisite cantata.I enjoy so much this interesting acquisition."
