"Let's start with the opening song COALMINER's DAUGHTER, that is a very personal, very well written timeless song. YOU AIN'T WOMAN ENOUGH is one of my personal favorites, it has the adittude that Loretta is famous for, same as DONT COME HOME A DRINKIN',RATED X, and ONES ON THE WAY. I was pleasantly surprised that they included two of the best duets by Conway Twitty and Loretta, LEAD ME ON and another personal favorite of mine LOISIANNA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN. The other songs are ofcourse great. No country collection would ever be complete without Loretta Lynn, this is a great album!"

"Here is another fine "Greatest Hits" collection provided by 20th Century Masters. However, with the talent and longevity of Loretta Lynn, this collection is only the first part; there is also a Volume Two available. This disc covers her biggest hits of her early career, and it doesn't disappoint. The sound is clear and near perfect; and the tracks are original. The CD starts with the classic "Coal Miner's Daughter" and tastefully ends with "Blue Kentucky Girl". In between are 10 more solid gold songs that only Loretta could sing; two of these songs are duets with Conway (of course). I do have one criticism, and that is I believe a duet or two with Ernest Tubb should've been provided. But, there is no such thing as a perfect compilation....this one is close, though. Give it a listen."
