CD ReviewsMore Judds classics Peter Durward Harris | Leicester England | 09/27/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This collection picks up where the first volume ends although it includes a couple of tracks from their early albums that didn't make it on to that volume, these being John Deere tractor and Have a dream (a cover of a song that Elvis Presley had recorded as For the heart). The remaining tracks are taken from the albums Heartland, River of time and Love can build a bridge, except for Guardian angels, which didn't appear on any original album. One disappointing omission is another Elvis cover, Don't be cruel, but it only just made the country top ten so maybe it was not considered essential. My favorite tracks here are Young love (an original song, not a cover of the fifties classic) and Love can build a bridge. The latter song is the one they are best known for in Britain, not because of their own lovely recording, but because of a charity pop cover version that was a UK number one pop hit. It's good, but the original is best and makes regular appearances on UK country various artist compilations. If you enjoy their first hits collection or the albums from which those hits are taken you will surely enjoy this too although I feel the first volume is the stronger of the two overall." Heart and Soul zooni | long beach ,ca | 01/16/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "The Judds are simply put, awesome country singers. Lyrically, The Judds combine faith and love and intertwine both to create beautiful rhythm. Musically, they always got that country twang, good for the soul. You can't help but feel the vibe on "Turn It Loose". My favourites include "Young Love" and "John Deere Tractor", both of which take you through the motions and tell a story. The Judds will remain good quality and classic country music, to the root and vein of every heart."
