"For me this was the music back in the day. EWF was known for all the best music you could party off of and the best love making music too. Give me Earth,Wind,&Fire any day."

"I have been a fan of EWF since 1973. I have all the original albums from their hey day, by this i mean before Maurice White became ill. The last relevent EWF album was "Faces" and it was weak. These two albums separately represent EWF at their best, together they are a must have. The remastering makes the sound fresh and vibrant. I find myself listening to the cd over and over, it takes me back to when i first discovered EWF. They have had more commercially popular albums but none artistically better, and the pairing of the two is a master stroke. The next move is to pair the first two original albums "Earth Wind and Fire" and "The need of love" into one remastered cd. This cd featuring the original band ie the great Jessica Cleaves exhibits just how cutting edge EWF was in the seventies and how well the music holds up today.I give this cd my highest recommendation."

"I love old EW&F! I was happy to see two albums on a single CD, and thought I was getting a good deal...I also bought a 2 album set of Minnie Ripperton at the same time. Over all I love the CDs. I like Head to the Sky MUCH better than Last Days and Time. I am getting the feeling that in order to release some of the not good selling albums, they (the company that makes these double release CD comps) are pairing them with really great albums to boost sales? Not really complaining, but will probably skip over most of the 1st half of the CD when listening in the future!"
