A Whole Lotta Isaak

"This moderately priced collection is a fine example of Isaak'swork. The collection consists of Silvertone, Chris Isaak, and ForeverBlue. Forever Blue is by far the best CD of the three, but each one has their own flavor and personality. Silvertone, made in the mid-80's, is a little more electric and "poppy" than any CD he has made since. The self-titled CD, Chris Isaak, is the weakest of the three, and is mainly a reitteration of Silvertone. However, Funeral in the Rain is one of the most interesting and melodic songs Isaak has ever created. Forever Blue, the quintessential Isaak CD, is an album that is emotional, humble, sad, and vibrant. The first song, Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing, was so awesome that perfectionist director Stanley Kubrick chose to use it in Eyes Wide Shut. Like all of his CD's, Isaak's Forever Blue focuses constantly on heartbreak, but the focus is more precise and clever in this CD than any other. All three CD's are a wonderful display of Isaak's work and well worth the price."
Not Available, Don't Bother

"I thought this 3-pack of Isaak CD's would be an inexpensive way to fill in the collection. I ordered it December 12, 2001. Today is March 1, 2002 and I was just informed that it will never be shipped to me because it is "unavailable from our sources". Of these three albums, I know Forever Blue has the catchiest tunes, and the best production. Pick that one up instead of this non-existant 3-pack."
