Could have been better

"I first fell in love with the 10 minute (real) album version of Dreaming and thought I had to get the single. Come on, 8 remixes right? Well the sad fact is that most of these remixes are just bland rehashes of the original. With the exception of the Lucid mix (edit) and Science Dept.'s Fiends and Family mix, there is nothing new for BT fans on this disk. Don't get me wrong--some of these remixes would sound great in the club, but listening at home I want something new and inventive, and really the best version of the song is the album version. I'd rate this single lower, but it does have the album version (from the US release) which is still great, if not of the 10 minute version's glory, and the Lucid mix (edit) and Science Dept.'s Fiends and Family mix which I mentioned above offer enough variety for a few listens."
Not all mixes are good, but most are, and some are great....

"I'm a big BT fan, but was very very underwhelmed by his latest album (especially the hip hop stuff). Pretty uninspired, and I never really noticed 'Dreaming' on the album (didn't keep it long). But after buying Tiesto's US release - Summerbreeze, which features the Libra remix of Dreaming, I was shocked. It was simplly an amazing song. (Libra is another alias of BT, presumably used for real trance songs)So, it's worth it just to get that mix of the song. Much much better than the one on the album. The Lucid mix is also very good (and on Tiesto's excellent In Search of Sunrise 2 BTW). The other mixes are good for the most part, although I really didn't like the evolution mix. And I was disappointed with the Tiesto mix. Usually his mixes are great, but this wasn't. One thing though - if you're one of those people who gets sick of the same song over and over, you might not like this. The 8 versions sound somewhat different, but still are recognizable. So it's not something you'd perhaps keep in your cd player, but great for DJs or those that really like the song...."

"Dreaming is emotive, romantic, seductive and salacious in beauty. The excitement weaves its way in an undercurrent of sounds while electronic pulses and textures melt into a fusion of soul-stirring depths.

"We dont know how it can be,

Searching out dignity.

Nothing can be as savage as love,

One taste is never enough.

With new hope, no place for tears.

Catch my hand and come with me.

Close your eyes and dream."

With eight mixes to enjoy, there is one version you will love. Each mix has a different texture from dance club, heavy techno to orchestral and edgy exotic (Tiesto mix). I seem to like the first Lucid mix the best, although the last track has a silky echoing appeal.
