CD Reviews

...approach it with an open mind.
Joe Anthony (a.k.a. JAG 1) | Massachusetts, USA | 04/18/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you are not a Christian, or even if you are a Christian, but not a "born-agian" Christian, approach this CD with an open mind. Some of the lyrics are a little preachy and, from a theological point of view, may offend the sensibilities of some people. However, if you take it for what it is and approach it with an open mind, you will see that it is still the same masterfully poetic Bob Dylan of folk music and rock music. His lyrics are serene and heart felt, and, strangely his noteriously bad singing voice is appropriate as what he lacks in vocal ability, he makes up for in enthusiasm. Indeed, I don't think I would want to hear these song sung by anyone but Bob Dylan. He blends quite well with his gospel trio.

If you are a Bob Dylan fan you should like this CD.

If you are a born again Christian you should like this CD.

If you are a Bob Dylan fan AND a born again Christian you will REALLY like this CD, which goes without saying as, in that case, you probably already own it."
Good Christian Rock Album

"A good companion piece for Dylan's earlier Slow Train Coming. If you are an old Jesus Freak like me, you will enjoy this album."
Finally Saved!

"This album saved me. I was struggling with the ideas of god and christ, and this album brought me past others opinions and my own ideas of faith, into a full view of the love and sacrifice. I still listen to it often, and thank GOD for Bob Dylan. I'll never be the same, and I'm glad.
