A memoir

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I'm new to Buck 65, but a huge Anticon fan, which is where I heard this gem. I didn't know much background on the album. The fact they never met, just going back and forth on the songs I find pretty amazing.

The whole album seems like a mix of looking back at life and reflecting on the person you are now - based on relationships and heartbreak. Buck's lyric are pretty deep, but at the same time quite easy to relate to - mostly dark, but enlightening. Tuscan's beats and production are incredibly good - it has an old schooly, new wave, pop-synth sound. I wish I had the words to explain it properly, but it is good. I know this falls in the "rap" category, but it is much more than that.

It's one of those albums you listen to and find a new favorite song and find a new lyric to hang on to.

I'm a little confused about MC Space - wondering how that made it in.

Definitely a top pick of 2009."
