CD Reviews

The good ol' days

"This takes me back to when I was a kid listening to the radio. My parents had the control and there were no "rock" stations, anyway. My mom would sing along and sometimes we would "dance" to the music in the kitchen. Ah, youth."
Great nostalgic value, for under $10.

"I bought this 3-disc set for my sister, in her 80s. She loves the music of the 40s-50s, and could no longer find any radio stations in her area playing them. This set (and others in the Essential Gold Series) features 75 songs from that era at a price of under $10 (from Amazon Marketplace). She loves this set, and others I've purchased for her. I highly recommend any Essential Gold Set. The only down side is that IN SOME CASES (since the recordings are made in Europe) the performers singing the songs may not be the versions/performers that were most popular here in the U.S."
