Opera Trance - a new genre for the 21st Century
Johnny | northern ireland | 08/28/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Ive always been a fan of Trance and female vocals featuring in trance music. So when I heard Remember Me in christmas 2000 it wasnt long before Id tracked down and bought the single! Welcome to opera-trance, a new style of trance music featuring vocals from opera singers over the progressive trance sound. This makes a surprisingly great combination, or perhaps it's just that Jorio does it so well! The tracks are moody and touching, and you can really get into the melodies and vocals or feel energised by the progressive beats. The only song I didnt take to was track 12, Pleasure of Love, which sounded really out of place with its cheesy lyrics and euro-pop sound. However, the rest of the CD really makes up for this with remixes of Prayer and Remember Me by Lectroluv and Space Brothers. My favourite songs are Art of Love, Prayer, The Dream and Remember Me. A definite must-have for trance and opera fans alike who arent afraid to try something new and different!"
How Opera Trance Should Sound
RiceMaster | The Dojo Between Time and Space | 07/04/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After listening to multiple artists' attempts to create decent Opera-trance, I eventually gave up on the genre altogether. Albums always turned out to have too much of one side, and no one quite seemed to strike a happy medium. Fortunately, I found this album.I've never heard Jorio's previous works, but I must say that this is excellent. The artist has a perfect combination of trance and opera, without ever veering off to favor one side. It has also become obvious to me that in order for Opera-trance to work, you need good solid trance backing it up. Jorio's Cyberdiva does just that. Without the vocalists, this cd could function as a great trance album; fortunately, Jorio has implemented the opera aspect which does nothing but help out.So, if you're a trance (or opera) fan looking for something new and fresh, try Jorio's Cyberdiva out. Unlike some techno and trance, this is easy to listen to, even for those who don't dig the whole trance scene.Try it out, buy it used if you have to, but this album is definitely worth a try."
Just beautiful!!

"I would like to say that I never listened to opera, but am really into Trance and with this combination I must say I have a totally diferent outlook about opera. This CD by Jorio is just awesome!! The woman's voice is just beautiful, dramatic, sensual and the music behind it is very melodic, smooth, with deep driven bass lines and the whole instrumentation is put together so well. Five stars here, no regrets buying this CD. Dreamy, exilerating, exciting, moving, emotion evoking."
