"I just want to say that it touches my heart to know that people still enjoy Chris' music after so long, and still speak of the great talent that he possessed. His passing was definately a shock for his family and he is definately missed and thought of everyday when I look into his daughters eyes. It's so funny because I just happened to be browsing the site at the recommendation of a vendor and he mentioned that they sell old albums, so I said let me look to see if Chris' album is on here and sure enough it was. I am pleasantly surprised. Also I would just like to mention he does have more stuff it's just not published.Tania"

"I was turned on to chris's music by a friend of mine a few years ago and to this day I still play his music. My favorites are who will I chose and sorry didnt do it.The whole album is good. This brother would have definitely made it in the music buisness. Its such a tragedy that such a young talented brother was taken from us.Im so glad that he had a chance to share some of his music with us. Rest in peace chris and God bless you and your family-Lloyd (a fan from N.Y.)"

"I've been a fan of Chris Bender since 1991.He is still my favorite singer to this day. Living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin I've been limited to the actual events to his early pasting... The whole world missed out on what God had planned for our best listening pleasure. Your R&B collection is not complete if you don't already own his CD.I just can't say enough about this man and his incredible ablity to sing hard! Just like Sam Cooke. He was the Man!"
A Solid Vocalist That Struggled For Mainstream Acceptance

"Chris Bender's Draped includes more hip-hop/new jack flavored tunes, plus some slightly above average vocals and great high caliber production. Bender doesn't lack in originality, his problem is more so that theres not one STAND-OUT track to break him into the mainstream. The album hit No. 92 on the R&B charts, which is awful, but this shouldn't mean that the album should be overlooked. His two charted singles "I Knew" and "That's Not The Way" broke into the top-70 on the R&B charts, and the heavily respected (today) singles "Kiss and Make Up" and "Who Will I Choose" have the strong lead, which most the album lacks. Bender's death has nothing to do with the material on Draped, he was a good vocalist that struggled to break out of the pack."

"Chris' talent really shone through on this album. He was a very talented artist who was definitely on his way to becoming something big in the industry. He was taken away from us too soon. His memory lives on in his music. I'll always remember you, Chris."
